MISS NOTHING PHOTO SHOOT

Yesterday's meeting resulted in a colorful photo shoot.
Me and Marie Von-d Bacelar gathered with the model Carolina Batista to put up a grunge photo session.
Dark smoky eyes, ripped dark glass tights, and pink tone hair, were the main details that gave these photos such characteristic look.
First of all, Carolina had to lay on the floor so me and Marie could dye her hair in different shades of pink, first a light one, and then a darker one. After getting her hair dyed out, the next step was the make up. A small smoky shade on the edge of eye over a lighter shade of gray, and followed by black eyeliner with black lipstick made the entire outfit more outstanding. The clothing was (obviously) what gave this session a theme, ripped top a dark glass tights, with my ol' black Doc Martens, and nothing else.
More than 200 pictures from me and Marie were accomplished and so the photo shoot was beautifully made.

POLAROID SUPERCOLOR 635

About a week ago, I ordered from ebay a Polaroid Supercolor 635 LM that arrived today! Last week I got a few films to give it a try, and for as amazing as it seems, it's working perfectly (so far)!
«While conventional cameras were becoming more refined and sophisticated, an entirely new type of camera appeared on the market in 1948. This was the Polaroid Model 95, the world's first viable instant-picture camera. Known as a Land Camera after its inventor, Edwin Land, the Model 95 used a patented chemical process to produce finished positive prints from the exposed negatives in under a minute. The Land Camera caught on despite its relatively high price and the Polaroid lineup had expanded to dozens of models by the 1960s. The first Polaroid camera aimed at the popular market, the Model 20 Swinger of 1965, was a huge success and remains one of the top-selling cameras of all time.»
I guess I can say for sure, this was a really great purchase!

TATTOO&ROCK FESTIVAL

This weekend I went to the Tattoo&Rock Festival Nº8 2012, a huge convention of the most prestigious and famous tattooers in Portugal.
This festival was held in, what's in my opinion, the most perfect place this convention could have ever been held in: LX Factory! The old rotten walls couldn't have given it a more classic and characteristic ambience. The typical dark and mystic environment of this religion was perfectly described and embraced by this magical place and by all the people, either fans, tattooers, organization or curious minds. One of the most interesting things is that, even though this was an enviroment of a certain typical style, you could see all kinds of people walking around, from Pin Ups to Punks, from kids to old youngsters, everyone was enjoying it.
From male to female tattoers, I've never seen such wonderful pieces of work gathered together in one single room! I now understand how amazing it must be to share such beautiful art into someone's life.
This festival was well organized. We could count on lots of national and international professional tattoers, such as their supliers and merchandise.
There were also several contests to entertain the audience such as the Miss Pin Up Contest,
the Best Tattoo Contest: Best Back Piece, Best of Day, Best Colour, Best Black&Grey, Best New & Best Old School, Best of Show.
We could also count on several musical artists such as: Swinging, Tripping & Rocking - Paulo Furtado (Legendary Tiger Man, Wraygun, ex. Tédio Boys), Nevermind the Trollocks, Here’s João Ribas (Tara Perdida, Kamones, ex. Censurados), e Welcome to The Tattoo & Rock Festival com António Freitas (Antena 3 Rock).
To conclude, it's with great pleasure that I say that this was a wonderful evening I spent surrounded by all kinds of Art in Ink!
